Bought in January, 7 months later, no longer works
Here it is August and the charger that I bought in January is no longer working. It is designed to fail so that you have to continually repurchase the product. Throw away product for our continuous throw away society! Shame!

Worth it!
Got a new laptop with no charger. Didn’t wanna break the bank and came across this charger. I have been using it for months with no issues, it hasn’t overheated (as long as properly placed) and has been durable/reliable. Recommend for anyone not wanting to spend a lot of money for the same quality product.

Fails after half a year
This is my third attempt with this particular product, it works great initially, but half a year later and suddenly the wire only works when in just the right position, and then after a while after that it basically stops working entirely. The first couple of times I thought maybe it was something I was doing wrong, but this third time I was extra careful with it, and then it just suddenly started having trouble out of the blue. It’s not even an issue with my laptop since getting a new one it all goes back to working perfectly, this thing is just designed to fail.

Charger beginning to fail
The media could not be loaded.
After a week the charger is already beginning to blink, which after years of owning a lenovo legion has taught me, the charger is beginning to fail, where it will slowly degrade and die within a month or two. I’m scared my purchase was a waste of money and hoping it lasts at least another month or two

Lenovo Legion Power Adapter
Received item in good shape. This is my second purchase as the first one lasted 8 months and it shorted out where the power plugs into the power Adapter box.After receiving this one made sure plug was inserted and fit tight as I assume the first one did not fit wellThe original Adapter has a power plug that is Heavy Duty and wire is large. These Adapters power cord are much smaller and I assume why the overheating, burning out issues are being noted in several reviews .It does work as designed but needs a heavier power Wire like the original .Keep a close watch on the adapter while in use and use it in moderation as much as possible is my advice

Just got it and it already doesn’t work.
It’s outputting too much heat even on a sitting desk and gets hot enough to burn you after use. Got it on Jan 2nd. It’s Jan 20th and it already doesn’t work.My charger port is fine.Bought this to replace the one I had from the laptop itself, which lasted almost 3 years.Unsure if I just got a defunct one or if this is a company problem. Will not be ordering a new one.

have been buying these to replace my original charger that died. the older replacements lasted 6 months to a year, with the second to last lasting only a few months. not sure what’s with the quality decline but i’ll just buy from the official lenovo website from now on

stopped charging
Purchased in March and stopped work on my Lenovo Legion Y545. I was worried it was a motherboard issue but the PC Repair said its this after market charger. He used a lenovo charger in his shop and the system charged fine. I do not recommend this product.

At over 230 watts this power supply runs cool.
I try not to leave this plugged in over night just due to power usage. It charges to full in under 3 hours, so no need to run the power bill up. It runs cool so it is not under built for its purpose. It is still a brick, meaning it is physically and weight large, but needs to be too put out that wattage.

burned connector
I got this product about a week ago, and had been using it since thenYesterday, I noticed my laptop had intermittent charging. It would charge for a bit then stop, then charge again.I took out the plug and looked inside, and it appears to be burnt/melted.I know this is not an issue with my computer, as I have started using my old charger again and it charged just fineI would like to request a refund

Not putting out full wattage
Used these to replace travel and Thunderbolt dock power supplies. When used as a dock power supply, the laptop kept saying “not enough power to charge…” With a multimeter I tested the output. 20v, ok that checks out ok. Tested amps and only got 7.5a on 2 different chargers (they are rated for 11.5a, so these are only putting out about 140w) so not just one bad one here, these are underpowered for dock use.

LASTED A WEEK
Do not buy this charger. I had it for only SEVEN DAYS before it completely stopped working. I have my summer finals coming up next week and needed a new charger, got this one a week ago only to find out a day or two ago that it had 100% stopped working. I’ve checked the power requirements for my Lenovo Laptop and that of the charger, everything matched up. There’s no reason for this to have stopped working after such a short time.

Bought the first one last May and it was dead with no reason 20 days later. Got a replace from Amazon and the new one worked fine for only 7 months and it is dead as well. I would suggest buying one from Lenovo website.

Very heavy, falls out of laptop constantly
This is a LOT heavier than the OEM 300W charging brick. Also, the cord falls out of the computer with the very slightest movement so I’m constantly having to plug it back in. Recently, after 5 months of use, it seems to be causing issues with the performance of the computer, too. My trackpad is lagging, the display becomes pixelated at times, and I’m getting a message about an unrecognized usb device – when I’ve never plugged anything into the laptop except this charger.

Stopped working after 2 months
I ordered this charger for my Lenovo Legion 5 gaming laptop after the factory charger’s chord frayed on me. This produce was received in time and even worked for 2 months. After 2 months it stopped charging my laptop out of the blue. I always ensure the charger is on a surge protector and we had no power surges in my area. I believe it may just be cheaply made and not last long, especially after reading other review here.

Purchased charger as a backup, NEW, wouldn’t work
I purchased a couple chargers from this company in May of 2023. Says it was a one year warranty… 10 months ago I purchased, it has not been used, I took it out of the box today for my son as a BACKUP charger and it was useless as it would not charge his laptop or work at all and now I cannot contact the seller to get a replacement because it says the window is closed although it says that I supposedly had ONE YEAR… RIDICULOUS. Unless they contact me back to replace it, I will never buy from this company again. DISGUSTED to say the least.

I definitely feel that these chargers are made to break. I bought this charger a year ago to the date and it broke on me today. Same thing happened with the one before that. Nothing wrong with the charger physically, just won’t charge the laptop. I feel like I have to buy one of these every year. It is frustrating.Anyways, works fine as intended when new, be prepared to replace it within the year.

Has prominent 60 cycle hum through speakers/audio card
I desperately needed a charger for my laptop when I was travelling and left the OEM charger at home, and this does in fact charge the Lenovo laptop.However, if you use any kind of external speakers or decent headphones, or like me a quality audio interface, there is both a 60 cycle hum and that awful noise when your cursor travels across the screen. Buyer beware.

Bought this about 3 – 3 1/2 months ago after another charger I got died(after 2 months of use, different seller, which was purchaced because my original Lenovo charger died after about 2 1/2 years and i wanted a less expensive alternative). I liked this charger a lot and I had high hopes, but to my dismay it has also stopped working. It worked great up until it died, though it does run a bit warm, which i dont really mind. I guess I have to go buy a proper Lenovo charger again because I know that one will last at for more than 3 months.

Died after 3 months. Just quit working. I’d suggest buying an official lenovo charger. Twice the cost, but at least you know it will last and has product support. Very disappointed.UPDATE: Seller saw my review and sent me a brand new power supply. This one looks closer to the OEM version, but either way much appreciated. Hopefully this one holds up!

FIRE HAZARD. This charger just started glowing, sparks started flying out of it.
This charger is dangerous! We haven’t had a single one work correctly out of the 3 we’ve purchased, however this one would have caused a house fire were it not for us noticing the heat coming off the cord. The cord suddenly started to glow and within milliseconds, sparks were flying out of it. Would never recommend! Spend the money on the real deal because your health and home aren’t worth saving the money on this!
